Since starting her career 20 years ago in New York City, Allison has designed interiors, retail stores, and styled for beloved publications like Domino and InStyle. Her aesthetic seamlessly combines chic modernity and classic simplicity, with the belief that a home must reflect one’s passions and pursuits, while remaining a very functional living space.

Graduating with a degree in design from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Allison returned to her native New York to begin working for Ralph Lauren, where she designed stores in Chicago, Beverly Hills, London, Palm Beach and Hong Kong. Working with a large team of talented artisans, she honed her inviting, upbeat and clean aesthetic while developing a global network of sources and contacts. After Ralph Lauren, Allison worked as a Design Associate for renowned interior designer David Kleinberg, specializing in high-end interiors.

Then nearly 20 years ago she formed her own company, Allison Tick Interiors, so she could work independently with private clients, as well as develop her burgeoning magazine career, styling interiors and producing photo shoots for such publications as LuckyThe Nest, and Domino, where she was a Contributing Editor. Her wide range of experience and expertise has given her an ever-growing network of top-notch designers, architects, and contractors.

Allison excels at relating to her client’s aesthetic and translating it into a space that’s uniquely fresh, functional, and beautiful. Her recent projects include a classic pre-war condo on the Upper West Side, full renovation of a corner brownstone in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and tandem renovations of a Manhattan Pre-War 3-bedroom apartment and a Pound Ridge Colonial home, the subject of a 10 page editorial in Lonny.
